I’ll be presenting at the Association of Computers and the Humanities 2025 Conference next week!

My paper puts forth a model for working with video games in the classroom to help students understand themselves and the world around them. It blends women of color feminism with game studies to consider how we can help students build games that allow them to “story the self” in the parlance of the seminal anthology, This Bridge Called My Back. It enables them to put their personal experience in a larger structural context.

I’m excited to talk about how I’ve been working with my students around this, and chart a vision for future research!

GLHF!

I’m an educator, writer, and artist that is fascinated by the intersection between tech and tenderness, care and computing, electronics and ethics. I enjoy thinking far too deeply about games, artificial intelligence, literacy (media, digital, and otherwise), and technology justice. Welcome to this page. Good luck, have fun!

AFK!

Here’s where I play when I’m away from keyboard.

GG!

Thanks for stopping by! Good game!
