Pedagogy

My pedagogy is shaped by my investments in feminist praxis, rigorous critical thinking, and accessibility. It is my goal to create a classrooms that are spaces of collaboration and empowerment for my students, where they take ownership of their education and thrive. I believe my approach has paid off. In evaluations, students consistently note that my passion for teaching and the content is apparent and infectious. They also consistently say that their participation in my courses have changed the way they watch media as well as the way that they see the world. It is my ultimate goal to give them not just a firm grasp of content but the critical thinking skills that will make their stronger, more rigorous, problem solvers and benefit them in any field. I teach because I want to give them a space where learning can change them and because I think this is key to changing the world as well.

GLHF!

I’m an educator, writer, and artist that is fascinated by the intersection between tech and tenderness, care and computing, electronics and ethics. I enjoy thinking far too deeply about games, artificial intelligence, literacy (media, digital, and otherwise), and technology justice. Welcome to this page. Good luck, have fun!

AFK!

Here’s where I play when I’m away from keyboard.
